Small Business Marketing Tips: How to Get More Money Flowing Into Your Business.
How To Make Money Flow
Small business marketing is the way of the future. Yet many smaller SME businesses struggle with what to do to increase the number of transactions each client makes.
It actually starts with ” marketing” something they want rather than “selling”……there is a difference.
You will have new clients flocking to you if you can provide them with something they actually want rather than what they need. Sounds strange I know and yet it is a true fact.
We all deep down know what we need. Though many times it is about our wants.
Your first job as a small business owner is to find out exactly what is your best seller. This might sound strange and yet often this is overlooked. If one particular item or service goes better than another. This is an area you should focus on.
This market research will help you in establishing what your target market actually wants. You can then expand on this by marketing this service to another geographic area. The next step is to look at a potential “add on “to this service or product.
If you have just sold someone a gym membership, they might also value a session with a personal trainer or perhaps a heart rate monitor.
This works particularly well with your online marketing efforts. If you have sold somebody something they want. It is very easy to them offer them a complimentary item that will help.
This is known as up selling. Some people are wary and yet it is a valuable service to offer someone. There is nothing worse that the realisation that if you had just spent a little bit more you would have got a better product or that what you have got would be complimented by an additional item that costs very little.
So now you have the information do something about it now. Find out what was your best seller last month. Then brainstorm what else you “sell” that compliments it.
Then contact your customers and make them an offer. There will be one of two answers yes or no. Whatever it is does not matter you have offered a relevant service to a client (Clients buy more than prospects by the way)
