Google Insights for Search:Trend Based Marketing Made Easy!

by Denise

Google insights for search is one of my favourite online research tools. Many people are addicted to Coronation street or Emmerdale for me it’s the insights tool. Sad I know!

For those of you who wondered. The Sound of Music was fab! Connie Fischer was awesome!

Back to the insights tool. The reason I love it so much is it gives you an endless supply of relevant information for you and your market. The beauty being you can cut it many different ways. From individual areas, to categories, to products, images time frames. You name it this tool has it?

For instance the first graph below gives a snap shot of searches in the UK over a specific time frame in the beauty area. In this part we are just looking over the last 30 days. You can pick any time frame you want going back to 2004.This kind of data is really useful to look at if your product or service is seasonal. If you are a part time Santa or on a serious note selling hallowen costumes. This could be just what you are looking for.

Many internet marketers have great ideas. A bit of time spent looking at this tool can help you make many decisions that could save you a lot of time and money.

The next graph below is even more fascinating as it lets you know what are the most popular searches.
This is really useful for content creation and product development. We specialise in online marketing . Part of that for us is carrying out SEO ( Search engine optimisation) for clients. If we find out that affordable seo cumbria or seo services lancashire appear ahead of seo lancashire. That can help is in ourr own marketing and key word selection.

The final graph in this subsection let’s you know what the rising searches are. You can see it below.
Useful especially over specific time periods. If you have a hunch that something is going to be big in your market it might be worth checking it out here.

Enjoy playing with this tool!!

Best Wishes

Denise and Sharon
